'... only because the photographic image resists time is it able to store or represent it. Whereas time is usually seen as continuous, it can only be archived in its discontinuity.'

Ernst Van Alphen

This project focuses on the disparate, serial nature of a photographic archive to create a fragmentary meditation on time, materiality & process. The work treats the archive as a space for potential reinterpretation; exploring elements of discontinuity & contingency. It is organised into chapters determined by chronological intervals & comprises a variety of printed works, including darkroom prints, Polaroids, & multiple artist books.
